Benefit of using ICT in Agriculture

O youths,

How are you guys? I’m sure you’re all in good health. Before I start, have you guys know me already? There is a saying that if you don’t know a person, how can you love that person? Therefore, I would like to introduce myself first. My name is Anisa Salsabila, you can call me Anisa. Right now, I’m working on my own business and farming agriculture. Do you guys want to be an entrepreneur like me?

If so, in this opportunity I will tell you some of my bitter experiences in building a business. Benefits of using ICT (Information Communication Technology) in Agriculture Business. Hopefully, you will later be motivated when pursuing this field.

Well, before that. First, Why don’t we learn back about the definition of Information, Communication and Technology ?

According to Eric Deeson in his dictionary book “Dictionary of Information Technology” which published through the Harper Collins Publishers in England in 1991 which explain that Information, Communication and Technology handling includes transfer, processing and access storage and information that use hardware and software for benefits of individual people and society as whole.

Next, let’s we continue to learn about the agriculture meanings.

According to David Harris and Dorian Fuller students of University College London in their book that titled as “Agriculture: Definition and Overview”explains us that the word “agriculture” is from Latin words “Agel” that means field, and “Colo” that means Cultivate. They also mention quote from English Dictionary Book from Oxford University that published in 1971 that agriculture means the science and art of cultivating the soil to gathering crops and rearing plants from extinction and rearing the field.

So with we benefit Information Communication and Technology in the agriculture business world means that we gave Information Communication and Technology authority to handle includes transfer and processing our agriculture business data and information to us and to spread away the information to the society. If we are only benefit in our shop building for our business that we run before. Then, our business will experiencing developments that tend to be slow by the only little information that have been delivered to the society because of the short range the society can reach about our agriculture business information that we run.

With we benefit the internet as part of the Information Communication and Technology which we make an official website and social media account form our agriculture business that we have made. The complete data of our agriculture business that we run can be delivered to the wide society much more easier because the media for accessing our data is a cellphone which almost every single person have it.

And therefore if we abandoned the Information Communication and Technology and we did not apply it in our business world. Then, we will lost all the chance that our business world to grow bigger and wider. Because of Information Communication and Technology progress it can make the society more closer from the distance that separate the society even it got separated much more further away before.
